Eastern Suburbs Railway Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Hi all.

On Sunday 23rd June 2019 the Eastern Suburbs Railway (ESR) celebrated its 40th anniversary.

As part of the celebrations S Set S54, cars C3001, T4101, T4961 and C3862 ran a special service.

This service ran from Flemington Maintenance Centre to Sydney Terminal, from there it ran to Hurstville before performing a run to Bondi Junction where a photo op etc took place.
The photo above was of S54 at Bondi Junction during this event.
From Bondi Junction this S Set returned to Flemington Maintenance Centre after visiting Hurstville and Sydney Terminal again.

New Trains For Sydney Coming 2018

Hi all.
Exciting news for train buffs in Sydney.
We are getting new trains!
They will be similar in appearance to our Waratah A Sets.
The new trains will be known as B Sets and there will be 24 of them.
Numbered B1 - B24.
They will be 8 car sets just like the Waratahs.
The first one is due to arrive in approx March 2018.

Sadly as the new trains arrive our S Set fleet will be progressively scrapped.
I will put 2 photo’s below.
The photo’s show stickers that are placed in every S Set carriage.

So by next summer the all trains on the Sydney Trains network will have air conditioning.

That is all for this blog.
Thank you for reading and i’ll catch you all next time.

An Hour At Dulwich Hill:

On Monday 9th November 2015 right after seeing The '01 Trio at Erskineville i travelled to Lakemba on the Bankstown line to film a few trains there.. After that i went to Dulwich Hill and stayed there filming for about an hour.
Within that hour i filmed and photographed a variety of trains such as Waratahs, M Sets, K Sets, C Sets, S Sets and even a couple of freight trains.
In this Blog i thought id share a couple of todays photos :)
