Up until 2010 we had V Sets that were numbered in the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's.
These days we have 4 car sets numbered V1 through to V51.
Back in the good old days V sets numbered in the 60's and 70's were 6 car sets. Pictures below.

Im not sure what year they ran but there were full 8 car V sets that ran with set numbers V80 to V89...
Up until 2010 we also had 2 car sets, these sets were numbered V92 through to V96.
2 car set V95 (below)
The 2 car sets ran with 4 car sets to make 6.
The 2 car sets ran with 6 car sets to make 8.
These days we only have 4 car sets.
Two 4 car sets can run together to make an 8 car set.
